Benefits available to eligible employees

Phoenix Payroll Solutions provides a comprehensive benefits program that's a valuable part of your total compensation. Please take time to review your options, including what is and isn't covered.

Medical Insurance

Our MEC medical plan covers preventive care at 100%, with two levels to choose from: MEC Plus and Super MEC. You can also buy coverage for your dependents through the company’s group plan.

Dental Insurance

Voluntary Dental Insurance is offered at Phoenix Payroll Solutions. You can buy coverage for you and your dependents through the company’s group plan.

Vision Insurance

Vision coverage is available on a voluntary basis. Dependents can be added through the company’s group plan and paid for by you.

Disability Insurance

Short-Term and Long-Term Disability are available to help replace your income if a sickness or an accident keeps you from working. Check your Employee Navigator portal for pricing.

Supplemental Benefits

Voluntary term life, accident, critical illness and hospital indemnity insurance, paid through payroll deduction. Up to $250,000 of life insurance with no health questions, this open enrollment only.

Phoenix Payroll Solutions has teamed with Your Benefits Team at Phoenix Payroll to help with your benefits questions and handle benefits administration. Work with your Benefits Counselor during enrollment to choose the options that fit you and your family, and anytime during the year to use your benefits to their fullest.

Eligibility

Who is eligible

Minimum hours
30 hours a week
Benefits begin
First day after 90 days of eligible employment

You must enroll yourself to enroll your dependents. Eligible dependents are your legally married spouse, domestic partner, and children up to age 26, regardless of student status. New hires must complete enrollment at least 2 weeks before their benefits effective date. Email helpdesk@yourbenefits.team to confirm your new hire effective date.

Which children count as dependents?

Your child, or your legally married spouse's or domestic partner's child, up to age 26:

  • Natural child, stepchild, legally adopted child, or child placed for adoption
  • Child whose legal guardianship has been awarded to you or your legally married spouse
  • Children ordered to be covered through a qualified medical support order
  • Disabled child over age 26 who depends on you
Changing your benefits during the year

Once you elect coverage, you can't change or drop it until the next open enrollment unless you have a qualifying life event. Tell your benefits team within 30 days of the event. Requests after 30 days can't be accepted. Qualifying life events include:

  • Marriage, divorce, or legal separation
  • Birth or adoption of an eligible child
  • Death of your spouse or a covered child
  • A change in your spouse's work status that affects their benefits
  • A change in your child's eligibility for benefits
  • A Qualified Medical Child Support Order
  • Your spouse losing or gaining coverage

Medical plans through Lucent Health

Lucent Health

Our medical program offers two MEC (minimum essential coverage) levels through Lucent Health: MEC Plus and Super MEC. Both cover preventive care at 100% and include doctor visits and a drug benefit; Super MEC adds fixed benefits for hospital stays, accidents and critical illness, plus an EAP. These plans provide limited benefits and are not major medical coverage. Prices shown are the full premium.

How Super MEC’s fixed benefits work. For emergency room visits, accidents, hospital stays and critical illness, Super MEC pays a set dollar amount for each covered event. These amounts are what the plan pays, not your copay or what you owe. You pay any charges above them.
Super MEC also includes a fixed $5,000 critical illness benefit (10 conditions) and the SupportLinc employee assistance program (EAP), with up to three face-to-face counseling sessions.
